Installation Instructions

1000 Shifter Covers

Package contents:  drive selector plate, 4x4 selector plate, small bag of screws

  1.  Remove shift knobs:  knobs pull straight off - they will be resistant, but use constant force, and slight wiggle back and forth while pulling.

  1. Place shift plate over shaft and align with outer edge of original embossment.

  2. Drill 1/16” hole in the center of each screw point (before drilling, make sure the screw points are aligning on the flat edge - if not, plate is not properly aligned - realign.)

  3. Install provided screws w/ a hand phillips screwdriver as to not twist up the vinyl when seating screw.

  4. Replace shift knobs:  push straight on until seated.

  5. Run shifter through all shift points to ensure that it engages in the correct position.  May need to make slight cuts in the rubber to allow knob to go fully into position.

Tips:  -Fibers can work out of the cuts in this fabric-infused rubber.  Use a lighter to quickly remove them.

-Apply lubricant to the back of the plate on the rubber, around the shifter slots.  This allows the shifter to run through the rubber more easily and to prevent damage.  May need reapplication periodically to extend the life of the rubber.

Seat Brackets

Package contents:  1 Driver Side Seat Bracket, 1 Passenger Side Side Seat Bracket

  1.  Attach your seat bases to the bracket.  Depending on the seat you purchased, you may need to drill different mounting holes.  (The mounting holes pre-drilled on these brackets were modeled from a 2014 RZR 1000 seat bottom.  Many other years and models may fit).

  2. Once your back Honda seats are in the upright position, flip the middle backrest up.

  3. Place the bottom lip of your seat bracket under the front of the original seat bottom.

  4. Align the two tabs in the back to go over the metal bar on the Honda seat back. Must align with the slots.

  5. Put your middle backrest in the down position, and you should be ready to ride!

Replacement Rubber

  1. Remove Shift Plates.

  2. Remove Old Rubber.  Option 1:  Pull off what you can of old rubber and scrape the rest off with a sharp putty knife (I’ve found this works best.)  Option 2:  Use an exacto blade to cut out the old rubber inside the slot. (You will end up gluing new rubber over old rubber on the back with this method.)

  3. Using super glue (not provided), adhere new rubber backing onto plates and install.

* Fibers can work out of the cuts in this fabric-infused rubber.  Use a lighter to quickly remove them.

  4. Place shift plate over shafts and align bolt holes.

  5. Install provided bolts w/ a 4mm allen head.  Take care not over-tighten, as to not twist up the vinyl.

Blinky Things

  1. Drill a ¼ inch hole at the center of the back point of the bottom facet.  Angle drill into the corner, so that it drills part of the bottom and part of the back.  This will be the hole that the wires will feed through.

  2. Place wires through the hole.  *Note:  There is a second layer of plastic in there.  You can either drill through it, or route your wires around it.

  3. Seat Blinky Thing into the slot and center it up the best you can.

  4. Drill a 1/16 inch hole through the black plastic in the center of the Blinky Thing mounting hole.

  6. Connect wires to your separately purchased turn signal kit.
